Prices include GST, based on easy access at both ends. Charged by the hour from arrival to finish. Travel from our Wellington base to Porirua is charged from base. Whitby's steep driveways, stairs and long carries take longer. We confirm your estimate before we book.
Long crescents that climb the hills above the harbour, split-level houses and driveways steep enough to make a mover sweat. The truck often parks on the street while the crew carries.
Older homes on narrow streets running down towards the beach, with cars parked both sides.
Harbour and coast homes, many set up steep steps off the road. Pukerua Bay sections drop sharply below the street.
Newer, larger homes on the hills above Porirua city centre, with wider streets and bigger loads.
Cannons Creek, Waitangirua and Ascot Park have new homes going up alongside older state houses.
The motorway links Porirua to Kāpiti in the north and to the Hutt via SH58. A Whitby to Paraparaumu move is quicker than it was before the motorway opened in 2022.

We enlisted the services of Dan and his Team for our shift from storage in Palmerston North to present our property prior to going on the market in Belmont, Lower Hutt We could not praise Relocationz more highly . The shift included very fragile items and also extremely heavy items accumulated from five generational properties. We personally found the prospect of getting our 'treasures' out of storage after 10 years particularly daunting, however the "Relocationz" Team didn't blink an eyelid. They arrived in Palmerston North at 10am and the furniture had been placed in the double storied house in Lower Hutt by the end of the day. We also called on Dan and his team member to assist with reloading and stacking our container after various items had been re-packed. They also offered to take items to the Salvation Army for us, which we were hugely appreciative of as we were under a particularly tight time-frame. The property has since successfully sold and we will once again enlist the services of Dan and his Team with regard to vacant possession prior to settlement. Update 06.09.26- I have used Relocationz ltd for my 3rd move and they were great yet again! I’ve used Relocationz for both my moves now and they’ve been great each time! Speedy and reliable, a great service. The second move was done a steep zig zag path and they were so helpful and managed it without a problem! I’ve recommended them to friends and will definitely use them again when I next move. Dan and David were friendly and had great communication too!

The hourly rate stays the same, but a steep driveway adds time if the truck parks on the street and we carry. Send a photo of the driveway and any steps with your quote request. Dan will tell you if a third mover makes sense for a big house, which costs $75 per hour including GST.
Yes. Transmission Gully takes the truck from Porirua to Paekākāriki and Paraparaumu in about 20 to 30 minutes outside peak traffic. Most 2 or 3-bedroom moves from Porirua to Kāpiti finish in a day. Dan builds the drive into your estimate.
Yes, and it is one of the shorter moves we do out of Wellington City. The drive up SH1 takes around 15 minutes outside peak times, so more of your hours go on loading and unloading.
