Plenty of Wellington movers advertise rates plus GST. $180 + GST is $207 once you add it. Our $210/hr already has GST in it, so the number you see is the number you pay per hour.

We enlisted the services of Dan and his Team for our shift from storage in Palmerston North to present our property prior to going on the market in Belmont, Lower Hutt We could not praise Relocationz more highly . The shift included very fragile items and also extremely heavy items accumulated from five generational properties. We personally found the prospect of getting our 'treasures' out of storage after 10 years particularly daunting, however the "Relocationz" Team didn't blink an eyelid. They arrived in Palmerston North at 10am and the furniture had been placed in the double storied house in Lower Hutt by the end of the day. We also called on Dan and his team member to assist with reloading and stacking our container after various items had been re-packed. They also offered to take items to the Salvation Army for us, which we were hugely appreciative of as we were under a particularly tight time-frame. The property has since successfully sold and we will once again enlist the services of Dan and his Team with regard to vacant possession prior to settlement. Pricing questions
Do your prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this site includes GST, so the number you see is the number you pay. Business customers get an invoice showing GST separately.
When does the clock start and stop?
The clock starts when the truck arrives at your pick-up address and stops when the last item is inside your new place. You can keep the hours down by packing everything before we arrive and making sure the truck can park close to the door.
Do you charge travel time between suburbs?
Petone to Paraparaumu at 5pm is slower than Newtown to Kilbirnie at 10am, and that time is on the clock like any other part of the move. Getting the truck to your first address is a flat 30-minute travel charge, and the drive home from the last address is not charged. Anywhere outside Wellington is charged from our base.
Is there a minimum charge?
The minimum charge is one hour, which is $135 including GST for one mover and a truck or $210 for two movers. Most single items inside Wellington City fit within that first hour, such as a couch from Johnsonville to Newtown or a washing machine up to a Kelburn flat. There is no call-out fee.
How do I get a fixed price?
Moves from Wellington to Auckland, New Plymouth, Hawke's Bay, Palmerston North and the South Island get a fixed price, worked out on load size, distance and the ferry for South Island trips. Dan replies within 1 working day. Local moves are charged by the hour, and Dan confirms your estimate before you book.
Do you take a deposit?
Intercity moves and larger jobs need a 50% deposit to hold the date. Local moves are paid once the job is done, by bank transfer, cash or on invoice. Your invoice shows the hours worked, the hourly rate and the GST included, so you can check it against your estimate.
