Prices include GST and assume easy access at both ends. Charged by the hour from arrival to finish. Kāpiti is a longer run from our Wellington base, and travel is charged from there. Stairs, long carries and packing take longer. Dan confirms your estimate before you book.
The truck leaves Wellington on SH1, runs up Transmission Gully to Mackays Crossing, then along the expressway past Paraparaumu and Waikanae to Ōtaki. Paraparaumu is about 45 minutes from central Wellington outside peak traffic, and Ōtaki about an hour.
Beach streets with sandy sections, low-set houses and the odd narrow right-of-way.

Plenty of Waikanae moves are downsizing: a family home into a smaller unit or a retirement village apartment. The furniture that fitted a four-bedroom house will not all fit the new place, so we can split the load. Some goes to the new home, some to family in Wellington, some to a charity shop.

We enlisted the services of Dan and his Team for our shift from storage in Palmerston North to present our property prior to going on the market in Belmont, Lower Hutt We could not praise Relocationz more highly . The shift included very fragile items and also extremely heavy items accumulated from five generational properties. We personally found the prospect of getting our 'treasures' out of storage after 10 years particularly daunting, however the "Relocationz" Team didn't blink an eyelid. They arrived in Palmerston North at 10am and the furniture had been placed in the double storied house in Lower Hutt by the end of the day. We also called on Dan and his team member to assist with reloading and stacking our container after various items had been re-packed. They also offered to take items to the Salvation Army for us, which we were hugely appreciative of as we were under a particularly tight time-frame. The property has since successfully sold and we will once again enlist the services of Dan and his Team with regard to vacant possession prior to settlement. Update 06.09.26- I have used Relocationz ltd for my 3rd move and they were great yet again! I’ve used Relocationz for both my moves now and they’ve been great each time! Speedy and reliable, a great service. The second move was done a steep zig zag path and they were so helpful and managed it without a problem! I’ve recommended them to friends and will definitely use them again when I next move. Dan and David were friendly and had great communication too!

Yes. Downsizing moves often mean some furniture goes to the new place, some to family and some to a charity shop. Tell us each address when you fill in the form and Dan will plan the drops in one trip. Dan will talk the plan through with you and your parents.
Yes. Villages often have set move-in times, parking rules and lifts. Give us the village contact or its moving rules when you book, and we will fit around them. Measure the rooms in the new apartment first, so you only pay to move furniture that fits.
The drive is about 45 minutes via Transmission Gully outside peak traffic. A 2-bedroom flat is about 2 hours of loading and unloading with two movers, plus that drive and travel from our base. Larger homes, or a long carry at a beach property, take longer. Dan confirms your estimate before you book.
Yes. Ōtaki, Ōtaki Beach and Te Horo are at the northern end of the coast, about an hour from central Wellington. Travel is charged from our base, so a longer Ōtaki move costs more than a Paraparaumu one. Put your addresses in the form for an estimate.
