Same hourly rate from Island Bay to Ōtaki
Your hourly rate stays the same wherever you live in the region: $210 per hour for 2 movers and a truck, or $135 per hour for 1 mover and a truck. Time runs from when we arrive to when the last item is in.
Distance still matters. Travel from our Wellington base is charged at a flat 30 minutes inside Wellington, and at actual drive time from our base, rather than the flat 30 minutes that applies inside Wellington everywhere else, so a move in Masterton or Ōtaki costs more in travel than the same move in Kilbirnie. The quote form asks for both addresses, and Dan includes travel in the estimate he sends you.

Do you charge the same rate everywhere in the Wellington region?
Yes. The hourly rate is $210 per hour inc GST for 2 movers and a truck, and $135 per hour for 1 mover and a truck, from Island Bay to Masterton. Travel from our base is charged, at a flat 30 minutes inside Wellington and at actual drive time from our base, rather than the flat 30 minutes that applies inside Wellington further out, so outer areas like Ōtaki and the Wairarapa cost more in travel time.
My suburb is not listed. Do you cover it?
Most likely. The lists show the main suburbs and towns in each area, and we move homes in the smaller ones too, like Makara, Pāuatahanui and Te Horo. Put your address in the quote form and Dan will confirm within 1 working day.
Can you move me from one area to another, like Wellington City to Kāpiti?
Yes. We move homes between areas, such as a Newtown flat to Lower Hutt or a Karori house to Paraparaumu. The same hourly rate applies, and the drive between addresses counts in your hours. Dan includes it in the estimate.
