We enlisted the services of Dan and his Team for our shift from storage in Palmerston North to present our property prior to going on the market in Belmont, Lower Hutt We could not praise Relocationz more highly . The shift included very fragile items and also extremely heavy items accumulated from five generational properties. We personally found the prospect of getting our 'treasures' out of storage after 10 years particularly daunting, however the "Relocationz" Team didn't blink an eyelid. They arrived in Palmerston North at 10am and the furniture had been placed in the double storied house in Lower Hutt by the end of the day. We also called on Dan and his team member to assist with reloading and stacking our container after various items had been re-packed. They also offered to take items to the Salvation Army for us, which we were hugely appreciative of as we were under a particularly tight time-frame. The property has since successfully sold and we will once again enlist the services of Dan and his Team with regard to vacant possession prior to settlement. WOW!! Much deserved 5 stars. Dan and his team are prompt, have very clear communication and overall hard workers. I would recommend these guys over anyone else, if you want the job done properly and efficiently with no hassle, hire them. Moved an entire house just over 2 hours.

Update 06.09.26- I have used Relocationz ltd for my 3rd move and they were great yet again! I’ve used Relocationz for both my moves now and they’ve been great each time! Speedy and reliable, a great service. The second move was done a steep zig zag path and they were so helpful and managed it without a problem! I’ve recommended them to friends and will definitely use them again when I next move. Dan and David were friendly and had great communication too!

How much do movers cost in Wellington?
Two movers and a truck are $210 an hour including GST. A one-bedroom flat usually lands around $315 and a three-bedroom house around $525. We confirm your price before we book.
Do your prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this website includes 15% GST, so $210 an hour is what you pay for two movers and a truck. Some Wellington movers advertise "+GST" rates, which adds 15% when the invoice arrives. A rate shown as $190 + GST works out at $218.50 an hour once GST is added.
Do you charge for travel time?
The clock starts when the truck arrives at your pick-up address and stops when the last item is inside your new place. On top of that there is a 30-minute travel charge for getting the truck to you. We do not charge for the drive back from your new place. Moves outside Wellington are charged from our base.
Can you handle stairs, lifts and steep driveways?
Yes. Wellington is steep, and plenty of our moves start at the top of a set of steps in Brooklyn, Kelburn or Mt Victoria. Stairs add time, not a separate surcharge. Tell us how many flights and whether the truck can park close in the quote form, and Dan builds it into your estimate.
How far ahead should I book?
Pick your date in the quote form and Dan will tell you if the truck is free when he sends your price, within 1 working day. Month-end dates are busy for Wellington rental moves, so book early if your lease ends on the 30th. Not sure of the date yet? Tick "Not sure yet" and Dan will talk you through options.
